The most unique aspects of the relationship between a husband and wife are the legal sanctions attached to their sexual relationship. A number of states will grant a divorce based on the ground that a husband or wife was denied sex by his or her spouse. As I listened, I thought about what it would be like to do something similar with my husband, Jon. At the time, we were having sex about once a week—not nearly as much as either of us thought was healthy for our marriage.
